For me, art is a way of being without necessarily having to find an answer. It is also a way of travelling without changing location. In my paintings, I bring together what I observe: inner landscapes, memories, feelings and possibilities that do not have to follow any fixed logic.
My painting stems from an intuitive impulse and from the desire to transform feelings, memories and inner landscapes into colour, movement and texture.
On the canvas, I capture what I encounter on my travels: the movement of water, the lightness of the mountains, the life of nature, the power of Brazilian landscapes and my own memories. Nothing is depicted literally. Everything is expressed through free gestures, layers applied with a palette knife, and colours that emerge in the moment.
I am not looking for perfection. I place my trust in the unexpected and in that which cannot be controlled. Every work is a discovery, a dialogue between what I feel, what I imagine and what I bring to life whilst painting.
For me, art is a space in which consciousness expands. When our gaze slows down, our imagination opens up, and new ways of perceiving the world emerge.
